Deputy Prime Minister Jörg Bode meets V-LINE do Brasil
Sao Paulo, Brazil, 03/12/2010
Jörg Bode, Minister for Economics, Labour and Transport of Niedersachsen, and a delegation of Niedersachsen business executives and state officials started a 3-city trade mission tour of Brasil with a visit to Sao Paulo, followed by Porto Alegre and Rio de Janeiro.
During the meeting at the Industrial Association FIRJAN (Federacao das Industrias do Estado do Rio de Janeiro) Leonardo Franco the CEO of V-LINE do Brasil, stated to Minister Bode ”It is important that Niedersachsen is repeating the visit to Brasil after 4 years, actually it should have been done even more frequent, to participate in the economic boom our country is enjoying recently.” “It is helping V-LINE do Brasil to reinforce the relationship with its customer and develop additional supply chain services while visiting top class German industries in Brasil with a track record of above 50 years of local manufacturing” said Detlev Daues CEO of the V-LINE Group.
Minister Bode was very interested in the business model of V-LINE do Brasil and learned that the actual partnership between Leonardo Franco and V-LINE was initiated during the visit of his predecessor Walter Hirche in 2006.
A logistic round table discussion organised by FIRJAN focused on the importance of the MRO Supply especially for those industries who comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
