FAW Volkswagen awarded V-LINE as number one MRO supplier

At the three day 2011 FAW-Volkswagen Annual Suppliers Meeting at Tengchong in Yunnan Province, FAW-VW Management headed by Mr. H. An Tiecheng, Board Member / President, honored V-LINE EUROPE and its China affiliate with a “20 Best Suppliers Award” - the only one for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Operations) Supply.
In his awarding speech Mr. An outlined the enormous growth of FAW-VW, approaching one million cars in 2011. “This growth and our very encouraging future plans with new plants in
Chengdu and Foshan is only made possible by dedicated staff and suppliers who can adjust quickly to demand by local investment and inventing best practices in all methods of supply chain management”, he said.
FAW-VW is a joint venture between First Automobile Works of China and Volkswagen AG of
Germany. It Produces VW Jetta, Bora, Golf and Passat models and Audi A4L and A6 models.
Spare Parts and MRO Supply is taking an increasing focus due to internationalization of the
supplier base and new concepts are very welcome in China.
Accepting the Crystal Rising Star Trophy and Award Certificate GM of V-LINE China Cui Tao said “After five years of streamlining our local organization we have learned to add value to FAW-VW. For us this award is only the beginning to share the future with the growth of our esteemed customer.”
Attending the event from Germany, V-LINE Group CEO Detlev Daues had a chance to meet
all managers of FAW-VW. “I am impressed what is happening here and I am proud of what has been achieved. The slogan of FAW-VW: Driving the dream Share the future needs to be fine
