V-LINE Europe & Hurmez Offer End-to-End MRO Supply Chain Service for Brazil

The opening of the match making sessions in Club Transatlântico, Sao Paulo, is certainly one of the highlights during the current trade mission of Minister Walter Hirche to Brazil.

In the course of this event the signature of the cooperation agreement between the Brazilian company Hurmez and the company V-LINE EUROPE from Lower Saxony/Germany will take place.

The V-LINE Group of Companies, headquartered in Sehnde near Hanover, provides now since almost 30 years Industrial Companies worldwide with spare parts and meets as mid-sized company the challenges of the global needs..

Four years presence in Brazil, active market penetration and evaluation meet now in the next phase and a new business model. The goal is the representation of a through going supply chain from the foreign  manufacturer up to the customers plant including the import in Brazil and billing in Reais.

A pilot project with Johnson & Johnson in São José dos Campos started already. After the review of the expected total cost reduction it shall be extended to further business divisions of Johnson & Johnson and then be rolled out to other Industries. The underwriting is attended by Joao Claudio Seffrin of Johnson & Johnson, Brazil.

“Hurmez as a traditional and long time service provider to J&J Consumer products, and in cooperation with V-LINE Europe has now the opportunity to increase the local value added through the local supply of overseas spare parts”, says Leonardo Franco,  Director of Hurmez. “This project is considered as one important milestone for the further optimization of J&J Brazil’s total processes. After the successful pilot project, the concept shall be extended to further of the 13 production units of Johnson & Johnson at its industrial park in São José dos Campos, Brazil and be rolled out  to other industries as well.
