Digital applause from Frauke Windhausen, Head of People Development, and Tilman Mieseler, CEO of V-LINE EUROPE GmbH, for the 6 apprentices in wholesale and foreign trade at V-LINE EUROPE.
“We are proud of our 6 apprentices who have completed their apprenticeships and are very pleased that all of them have accepted our offer to stay with V-LINE”: This is how Tilman Mieseler, CEO of V-LINE EUROPE GmbH, congratulated the new full-time employees of the world’s leading service provider for MRO spare parts procurement. The company, headquartered in Sehnde, Germany, currently has more than 150 employees at its site and around 250 worldwide. Now V-LINE counts 6 more full-time employees. Julia L., Yaman A., Nina K., Philipp C., Lucie K. and Mihriban K. are very familiar with the company after two and a half years of training as wholesale and foreign trade clerks focusing on foreign trade and are equipped for all tasks. This also reflects in the new departments: from purchasing and sales to logistics, accounting and marketing, everything can be found here. “It is important to us that our trainees go through the entire process of the company once. This allows them to acquire a wide range of knowledge – and that’s what makes the training so exciting!” says Frauke Windhausen, Head of People Development and responsible for vocational training at V-LINE EUROPE. “In addition, our trainees can also do an internship abroad, for example, and thus get to know other cultures and deepen languages.”
This year’s group also took such an opportunity. Some went to Paris, others to India or Turkey. “The exchange to France was definitely one of my highlights of the apprenticeship,” says Julia L. “We were able to explore Paris, grew together even more as a group and could try our French in the café. The fact that V-LINE supported this is not a matter of course.” The trainees were also able to take on other projects themselves, such as the Instagram channel for those interested in V-LINE’s apprenticeship programs, which is run entirely by the trainees.
“It is great to see the development you all have made in these two and a half years of apprenticeship, both professionally and personally. Be proud of yourselves and what you have achieved during and through the training!”, Windhausen applauds the graduates. Arne Hartmann, Director of Global HR, expresses the same view, “If you think back two and a half years ago, when everything was still new, and compare that with today, when you join us as fully valued colleagues from the apprenticeship, that’s really great! Keep the mentality of lifelong learning for your future as well.” Tilman Mieseler concludes his digital congratulations by adding, “New thoughts, new spirit, new Team Future: we as a company are looking forward to growing with you through the crisis. Stay inspired and happy to do so!”
